If you know me, you know I’ve always been the person who says, “We need a picture of that.” That became especially true when I had my first daughter, she seemed to change every day, and I needed all the pictures to help slow down time.Thank goodness for my amazing husband, because he’s the one who suggested I take the leap and that’s when McKenzie Heidinger Photography was born.
Over the past three years, I’ve met incredible people, watched them become a family, create their own family, and capture all the moments after.To say I love this job would be an understatement!

Hi, I’m McKenzie! I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Helena, Montana.
I’m also a full-time mom, first grade teacher, basketball coach, and night owl who runs on caffeine, romantasy books, and just the right amount of chaos. But when it comes to photography, I’m all heart and intention.
I’ve been married to my high school best friend for eight years, so I know how meaningful your love story is. That’s why I approach every wedding with care, attention to detail, and a deep desire to capture the moments that truly matter — the quiet glances, the belly laughs, the happy tears.
I’m here to make you feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. Whether that means guiding you through natural poses or cracking jokes to help you relax, I’ll do whatever it takes to make your experience fun and effortless. And yes, I’ll absolutely be wiping away tears during your ceremony.
